Up at 5:40 compiling the playlist for the trip home tomorrow then listening to the CBQ album which did not exist last time I was here...

I was recording a version of the song "Vendome" in late November 2010 when the call came through from my mum to say Pam reckoned she'd had a stroke...

I still have the recording somewhere - the track breaking down and then me consoling my mum on the phone...

If only had been a stroke...

More sorting out of photos - three piles again...

Anne was up at 8 as I left on my last trip to the dump...

On my return we breakfasted in the garden...

The weather has been brilliant...

At 10 it was back down to the Cancer Research Shop with our last pile of Pam's stuff, including many of her LPs...

To the Estate Agent with the finalised particulars...

A walk around the town centre...

...resulted in a 3CD set of so called Bubblegum Pop entering the collection, along with a 3DVD box set of "The Man From UNCLE" films...

Home for lunch and a relaxing lie around listening to said Bubblegum Pop, while we waited for Paul to come round to start work on the fence...

This wee crow was waiting too...

By 2 he was still nowhere to be seen so, rather than our planned trip to London, we drove back to St Albans...

It was market day...

Anne found a new shop - Mistral...

..and I found something I like...

The Glenn Gould disc on the left was partaken of...

Another lovely hot, sunny day...

We made our way back to the cathedral and sat for a while...

Just before we left, a call came in from the Estate Agent to say the first viewing would be taking place tomorrow afternoon - by then we will be on our way back to Edinburgh...

One last look around...

...before driving home and admiring my recent acquisitions...

...and the flowers in Pam's garden...

...and the birds in Pam's garden...

...and the fire in her neighbour's garden...

...and the sun going down...

More relaxing and finalising the route for tomorrow...

We will be going home...

The footie scores were texted by sister in law Jane - defeats for Hearts and QOS...

Queens remain the bottom club, four points behind Raith Rovers with seven games to go...

Relegation beckons...

Unless there's a miracle...

In the evening, out to Saffron in the old town...

...for an extremely good and tasty Indian meal..

It turns out this was one of Pam's favourite haunts and she and Debbie often dined out here...

Debbie advised us of this in a text exchange during which she advised her sister has just bought a new puppy and, quite coincidentally, called her Pamela...

A cross between a Yorkie and a Poodle...

Cute wee beastie...

She has Pam's hair...

Turns out Debbie's sister's previous dog was called Douglas - my old dad's name...

A funny old world...

Back home and relaxing before tomorrow's eight hour drive...

Clocks forward...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A new Glenn Gould disc...
