Working most of today...

Some of which was spent on a few new musical ideas...

This was spurred on by some new sampling carried out first thing...

In the early afternoon, the Exec Producer was off to Tynecastle, hoping to see the Jam Tarts proceed to the semi finals of the Scottish Cup (which of course Queen of the South now WON in 2008 as Glasgow Rangers cheated re double contracts for their players between 2000 and now)...

Alas, it was not to be, as opponents St Mirren were saved by an own goal with four minutes to go, taking the tie to a replay in 10 days time or so...

For the mighty Queens though, a 1-0 win in an absolute six pointer took place down at Palmerston Park, in a bottom of the table clash with the Rovers of Raith....

Still bottom but only two points behind now, with a quarter of the season to retrieve the situation...

So anyway, two new, or should that be "now" songs emerged today - "Now Let's All Have a Great Big Party" and "Now We Can Live Together For All Time" – not sure if these round off “Starlightnight” or if they start the 2014 CBQ album...

More work required but I'm pretty sure the other two or three ideas are for the next one......

Listening this evening, after a very tasty indeed Red Thai Chicken Curry from Annie – mmmm, mmm - to the previously thought to be finished album, now with these two new tracks topping and tailing matters, reminded me of how good the album in its full length version actually is – of course, for a good while prior to last week’s gig, I’d been listening to the edited live set version, so good to hear it again in all its glory...

So there we go, a Saturday spent working...

"Match of the Day" with me in the cans, then lights out well into Sunday...

Highlight of the Day : Reacquainting myself with my music / Anne’s curry...
