A bright morning...

rehearsing for tomorrow only in my head...

To the local hospice charity shop at lunchtime and three discs purchased (and, as yet, unlistened to) - Bax Symphonic Poems, two pieces by Richard Strauss and a Sony classical music promo disc from 1996...

Late evening, met up with Anne and we walked to Henderson's Salad bar for a cheeky wee drink before continuing our walk down to the Trinity area past these sights...

...to Munro (and any other hill) climbing chums Debbie & Sid's, for a slap up meal, mucho drinking and excellent chat into the wee small hours...

Debbie is a wonderful cook - and Sid's not bad either - last year, or the year before, they won a trip to a course in France with a Michelin star chef...

There was a splendid array of tasty treats on offer...

...which your correspondent found hard to resist...

...and which included this gorgeous pear based dish, which was made even better by the addition of clotted cream...

Zero calories apparently...

Post meal we retired to "The Winter Room" for more drinks and some entertaining chat...

The main course was partaken of from this dinner set - which my mum and dad had when I was a child...

A taxi home around 1:30 am after a very enjoyable evening...

Meg the Black Cat enjoyed my black bag...

Highlight of the Day : Home cooking from some top notch cooks...
