Ha - no headache!
You may recall last month that the IFPI was targeting me regarding possible abuse of copyright with regard to MY OWN SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS...
Well, since I removed all the links to specific songs and pieces in the Crispycat Libary from this blog, the harassment seems to have stopped...
So I thought I’d try something which I will have to take down if they catch me out, and they will be correct to make me do so...
I woke up this morning around 6:20 and immediately set the Rock & Pop Jukebox to shuffleplay...
The first few tracks made me think this might be a rather “good” session...
And indeed it was...
So, I noted the tracks played in the first hour or so, went to the collection and have recreated the experience in a single MP3 file which I’ve uploaded to something called Fileqube, as an experiment...
Click here to go to the download - of course, given that it’s over an hour long, it may take a wee while to download (I’ve encoded it at just 64bps to try and speed up matters)...
I hope it’ll be worth your while to hear a little bit of Radio Cloudland Blue...
To stop you downloading something the content of which is a complete mystery, here’s the track listing...
Dream Theater – Just Let Me Breathe (“Falling Into Infinity”)
Herman Van Veen – My Cat and I (“My Cat and I”)
Iona Marshall – Your School (“I M Pulse”)
Mogwai – Acid Food (“Mr Beast”)
Young Marble Giants – The Man Amplifier (“Colossal Youth”)
Focus – Birth (“Hamburger Concerto”)
Harmonia – Ahoi! (“Musik von Harmonia”)
Jon Anderson – Heart of the Matter (“Song of Seven”)
The Clash – Janie Jones (“The Clash”)
The Tubes – Tubes World Tour (“Young and Rich”)
The Cure – The Kiss (“Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me”)
Jane Siberry – An Angel Stepped Down (“When I Was a Boy”)
Eels – Hidden Track (“Souljacker”)
Sparks – Wonder Girl (“Sparks”)
Herman Van Veen – Adieu (“Je zoenen zijn zoeter”)
Flower Kings – Psychedelic Postcard (“Flower Power”)
Isaac Hayes – One Big Unhappy Family (“The Isaac Hayes Movement”)
I think that’s a reasonably eclectic selection – remember I had no control over it - apart from all the source material having been transferred at some point from my CD library to the jukebox – the player itself chose the music completely randomly...
Anyway, Meg the Black Cat has given it her seal of approval and that’s good enough for me...
If this is popular, I may do it again...
Always assuming the IFPI doesn’t fine my ass off...
Cheers...
