Out tonight with Anne to Tynecastle for the CIS Cup tie between Hearts and Dunfermline. The Pars were relegated last year but are expected to bounce back up. However, they currently lie four places below the mighty Queen of the South…

While Hearts were obviously the better side, they struggled to make anything of their pressure. Just 1-0 up, via a penalty, with 10 minutes to go, they lost a goal from a corner as the Pars forced extra time...

But Hearts went through the Dunfermline defence like a dose of salts almost immediately following the restart, scoring three goals in quick succession…

I enjoyed the match but, by the end, my arm was causing me extreme gyp and we were both freezing, though Anne was, of course, very pleased with the result after Saturday’s fiasco…

Highlight of the Day : Hearts 4 Dunfermline 1 (sorry Dr Prog)
