Up early and read over the reports of Scotland’s great win last night – all of which seemed to suggest a much better performance than I saw last night...

Can’t deny the massive achievement though...

Downloading new stuff from Destination Out and Pitchfork...

Uptown around 10:30 and a quick scoot round HMV and Dixons/Currys/whatever with no purchases made...

Then met up with Kris with a K, Gary, Lorna and Margaret for lunch...



Still no sign of the paint we’ve ordered for the kitchen...

Once it’s done and the new fridge is in, all my lovely magnets will be put away...



Back home by 2:30...

Continued downloading from Pitchfork – today I have taken 350 minutes worth of the latest hip sounds from the site’s free MP3 section...

Listened to some great early Alice Cooper then got caught up in the brilliant work of King Crimson, reading through the booklets of the various box sets I have and Sid Smith’s excellent book on the band...

The weather turned wintry all of a sudden tonight – perhaps summer has finally gone?

Reluctantly turned down a couple of offers today to play live which would’ve been nice given the upcoming releases but I know my arm will not now allow any further guitaring until a couple of months after my op, which is apparently mooted for early November...

Constant pain now and pins and needles too...

Damn this getting old business...
