Fixing, filing, cooking...

Playlist

Up at 5 and working on yesterday's session...

Luna, on her last day of her holiday, was helping by looking out the window...

A break for breakfast...

...then, back to work...

Message around eleven, to the guys after over 6 hours work (including last night) on fixing yesterday - kind of reflecting my disappointment that for some reason, they don't seem interested in actually listening back to what they've done in order to learn from it and prep for the next time - even after I've taken out all the glaring errors...

"Morning all - ok it's taken the best part of 6 hours to prepare these 10 tracks from yesterday's session for your listening pleasure.

For that reason, I'd really, really appreciate it, if you would, this time, give them all a listen but, not only that, make notes on each track as to what might be done to make them better from your perspective (including if you think they are perfectly fine from your POV) and then, post those thoughts to this group so we can discuss them here before the next session, so we are primed and ready with ideas when we meet.

I have fixed/taken out the errors I could but wasn't really up for de-stemming and editing individual instruments as I have done before - although that remains a future option (e.g. overall, I think the vocals are too loud and the drums are too quiet - but with the fixing I've done, I think these are adequate for listening and critiquing).

Look fwd to your thoughts."

As I write this, it's 22:15 on Thursday and there has been nothing posted in the chat - apart from JB advising on Wednesday (in a joke) that he'd rather listen to Radio 4...

Later this afternoon, some filing and adding of CDs to my Discogs library (massive way to go on this ongoing project - these were the first additions since last October!)...

Inevitably, some items were nowhere to be found on the database and I was in no mood to add them...

This evening, I was cooking for myself while Anne enjoyed a tasty lasagna...

The intention was a kind of arrabiata sauce...

...to cover the ravioli...

Surprisingly, it worked a treat and was very tasty...

Enjoyed some lovely music in the back room...

...and then, Gillian and Olly arrived with tales of their trip to Florida and the Bahamas and to pick up Luna...

Here, the last pic of her holiday with us...

She did spend quite a lot of time in our bed...

We will miss her...

Highlight of the Day: Fixing and cooking, filing, not so much...
