Ah, Friday...

Up pre 6 and to trawling through new releases...

First sweep produced these (which include, from the DropBox, the new remix from Mr Spark) but I found more later on in the day too - full haul at the end of the entry, as usual...

Breakfast...

Anne off to Zumba - me listening to selected tracks across the day's new input...

Then, for no real reason, decided to rearranged my box sets...

Done...

10 sections of Rock & Pop (plus another half re the two Eno Boxes bottom left), 

2 sections of jazz - quite a few "non actual boxes" removed from these and will need to be integrated into the jazz boxes I did the other day...

1 section of reggae - in the main, Trojan box sets...

And 10 sections of classical, split single composer, single artist and various composer/artist compilations (plus another half re the two boxes sandwiching Eno, bottom left)...

Satisfying but pointless...

Lunch with Anne and a second 1.5 hour "Marlow Murder Club" concluded the story started yesterday - which we could not recall having seen before...

All new stuff added to the mobile listening unit and speakers from the attic put in place for some work tomorrow...

...and close down...

Down the hill around 3 and a bus to the Usher Hall and into the Caley Picture House for a meet up...

I was first there, followed closely by Willie...

...then, Bernie and Craig...

...and, finally, Gary...

Drinks and chat enjoyed...

Then, post Craig heading home early, a walk to Morrison St...

...Quentin Tarantino style...

...to Fava for tea...

This nice wee amp had arrived and will be set up tomorrow morning...

What's the story Dave?

Well...

My now not quite so trusty NAD amp (which worked perfectly from 1985 to earlier this year) was removed from my set up a couple of months ago and my big black Mission speakers were moved to the back room (the CD library, if you will)...

A small headphone amp was acquired and, so, at first, I was listening at the laptop purely via headphones...

That amp, however, had two outputs, one for a standard jack and one for a mini jack...

I then brought my two Sony Blue Tooth speakers into play at the laptop, purchasing a lead and some conversion plugs to take a signal from the mini-jack socket to those two...

However, due to being plugged in most of the time, the amount of recharging required (as the Sonys are battery only speakers), became an issue...

And so, this new small amp was purchased to drive the Sony Speakers from the attic - those are Sister Pam's speakers, which used to be in the back room where the MIssions are now...

Now, the signal will, instead of going to the Sony BlueTooths, will go to the new amp, via the mini jack output from the headphone amp...

As a bonus, this new amp also allows for BlueTooth connection and so, it'll be all good tomorrow morning...
