A castle and a curry...

Playlist

Up pre 6...

Always good...

...kind of...

Took 5 minutes to get going...

Writing and downloading impressive compilations (see below) from this site, then, researching where we might go today...

At 10, we set off for that Fife and, half an hour later, parked at Aberdour Station and walked through the entrance to Aberdour Castle...

We dutifully bought our OAP tickets for £6.80 each and in we went...

Through the stables...

...noting the Dovecot for the first of many times from various windows and doors of the castle...

A collection of stones once part of the castle...

Out...

More views...

...and back in and upstairs...

The Main Hall remains intact...

Back downstairs...

..and out again...

...and in again...

The kitchen...

Now that's what I call an oven...

...and back out...

A massive piece of the castle which somehow remained intact when it came a way from the building...

And back inside to see the famous painted ceiling...

We were encouraged to lie on the floor for a better view - this was as far as either of us got...

This is what it looks like from below - cropped from the picture on the poster above...

And then, out into the beautiful gardens...

We cannot take part in Apple Day, given we don't live in Aberdour...

More garden views...

And then, out and round to nearby St Fillan's Church...

...and back into the grounds, through the previous garden, to the terraced garden...

...and the Dovecot...

No pigeons in residence...

...and out...

...and on, to the orchard...

A couple of specimens were snaffled by the Exec Producer...

Finally, a quick look at the beehives - avoiding the attentions of the industrious bees...

...and back and out...

...and to the car for the 20 minute drive to Dunfermline...

Available parking scenario meant a long walk back to Namaste but it was worth it...

Soft drinks...

...and two £12 three course lunches enjoyed...

Pakora and Onion Bhajis scoffed before being pictured...

Mains with rice and naan...

Lamb Karahi for your correspondent...

Chicken Karahi for his Executive Producer...

Ice cream and coffee for the third course - guess who had what...

Followed by the walk back to the car for me, collecting Anne on my return (re a protection from the rain scenario)...

Home and, after finally reinstating the flying cats post the hall makeover...

...some music listening...

This evening, into season 5 of "Scandal" - our picks are becoming more frequent...

And a couple of "The Marlow Murder Club" entertained into the evening...

Bed at 11:30...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day: A castle and a curry...
