OK - Saturday, here we go...
The final podcast recorded with the old laptop...
I make no money from these efforts...
Done, dusted, uploaded...
While waiting for Anne to arise, some reading and listening in the back room, re Bill Bruford...
Fang reappeared...
...and spent a lot of time in the house today...
The new laptop was finally connected to the hard drives...
...but things were not going to plan...
More stress and frustration...
At 4, I left it and Fang left us and me and Anne headed into town for a meet up...
...by the time we approached the rendezvous, an hour had passed and darkness had fallen...
We once lived in this street...
We were at Pierces at the top of Leith Walk, where gin for Anne, including an orange one, and pints of Heineken, Amstel and Moretti for your correspondent were enjoyed...
A meet up for an evening of good chat and some refreshment with Keith & Maureen and Jane & Bob...
Around 6:45 we set off down Leith Walk for a table at Knight's Kitchen almost at the foot of the road...
Keith and Maureen had been before and explained the set up regarding this African eaterie...
Lovely, subdued surroundings...
...and a fellow diner captured the family night out...
Excellent wine was accompanied by...
...copious amounts of excellent food...
This was the only one of the three platters brought to the table (with a couple of sides too) which I captured for posterity...
At 9:30 we exited - a top night indeed...
Keith & Maureen headed home while the remaining quartet walked to the top of the walk once more...
Despite making coffee on our arrival, apparently I was soon fast asleep on the sofa...
A good night out to take my mind off the ongoing computer travails...
Highlight of the Day: Out with the family...
