What a day...

Started normally...

Waiting for the new laptop to arrive and discussing stuff with Craig/Sparky, I suddenly realise the Processor in the new one was i5 while the old one was i7...

Was this, then, a downgrade?

Turned out not, as today's 5s are better than 2013's 7s, apparently...

OK

Breakfast...

Bumming about...

Including playing some of the songs we will rehearse on Sunday...

Lunch...

At 12:40 the thing arrived...

It all looked good...

I set up defences...

I took it upstairs having set it up and started installing programmes etc...

It crashed...

I shut it down - it restarted, it seemed fine...

But, worryingly, I had seen this mentioned in some of the less complimentary reviews of the thing...

I noted other tech in the house...

This picture because I was swapping lamps from the living and dining rooms and needed to be able to put the telly back exactly to where it had been...

This because, well, I am now up to 5 (counting the iPhone with which I took the pic) mobile music carriers...

Anyway, I got to the stage with the thing where I'd downloaded one LP from the internet (soundtrack from the film "Tár") and was playing it through the speakers upstairs when the new thing crashed again...

And it put a horrendous roaring sound through the system...

That was that...

It lasted four hours...

Fish and chips for tea...

It felt like a Friday...

Which was good...

I was so annoyed, frustrated and fed up that I can't even recall what else happened...

Anyway, lights out...

No, wait, I was slightly cheered up by more "Kominsky Method"...

Highlight of the Day : New laptop arriving - not a highlight that lasted for long...
