Sunday - up and writing this...
...before the sun (and the wind)...
Around 9:30, out and over to Anne's mum's to pick her up re a vaccination appointment...
Luckily, it was in Stockbridge, which mean we could pay a visit to Patisserie Florentin...
Mary had her choice of the cakes...
...and gave the morning a thumbs up...
Take two...
Lovely coffee...
Plum and almond tart...
Croissant...
Eggs Benedict with Haggis...
Post this, a walk down to the market - "stinks o' fish"...
Then, while the ladies attended the vaccination place, I popped into Vox Box...
Today's acquisitions for £10...
All done and all good...
...as was the weather, although a trifle cold...
Back to the car, Mary taken home...
A cursory listen...
...and the whole of disc one of this, as I snoozed in the back room...
An "Elementary" and lunch, then, out to my mum's, post having done her shopping...
A surprise visit was being undertaken by Ali, Julie and Harris...
Harris insisted on trying out the stair lift - we've all done that!
Mum was enjoying the company...
We devised a method for her to tell whether her Tivo box is on or not - as is often the case, she has been having problems and blames the machines rather than her hopeless inability to work a remote control...
All solved by the removal of her never used video/DVD player and the insertion of a mirror, sourced by Anne from what was once my room - now just a room full of junk...
Later this evening, she called with the age old "what have you done to my TV" bollocks...
As in, "The Radio Times says ITV3 should be showing "Lewis" but it's "On the Buses" - what have you done to my TV?"
I checked...
"On the Buses" was indeed on ITV3...
My mum seemed to think I could do something about this...
I told her to blame The Queen dying...
Anyway, prior to that nonsense, when we got home, Fang popped by...
...and Anne cooked some lovely lamb mince and mash...
"Elementary" continued - I think we finished Season 4 tonight...
We have been watching it for around 20 days and have enjoyed almost 100 episodes...
We may also have watched a "Professor T" tonight, while the 2nd episode of "Bloodlands" was recorded...
A reasonable weekend came to an end...
Highlight of the Day : Out and about...
