Saturday, not too early...

Overcast, a little...

Inside, Picasso...

Uploaded the podcast last night, so, writing this up for yesterday...

Also, what's this?

For 2022 (so far), on the left, CDs purchased, on the right, downloads acquired...

Yesterday, this...

Humans like numerical milestones...

I have reached the point where I have 1,000 (24 hour) days of music on my hard drives, including rips of my around 12,000 CD collection and rips of the remains of my 1972-1986 LP collection (330 of the 335)…

 It’s all good, kind of…

Here a breakdown of my records...

This morning, some playing through of more of the new repertoire recently collated, Roxy, Eno, Bowie, Velvets...

Then, out...

Geese leaving...

Took Anne along to Jane's - the two of them were taking Mary out to The Steading with her almost 100 year old friend, Edith, for the two of them to enjoy a lunch for Mary's birthday...

Anne and Jane lunching elsewhere...

Meanwhile, the beast was about its business...

...in Morningside...

I've not been her for a while...

A sandwich based lunch was enjoyed and a few things were chanced upon...

 ...and added to the collection...

Not previously heard of but very nice indeed...

I think I may well have this in the attic for sale on Amazon - idiot...

I have this too - but not with the DVD - still shrink wrapped too...

Again not heard of but there are around 6 successful singles on this album (apparently)...

A 2003 set of covers in a not the original sleeve - again, still shrink-wrapped...

All 50p each...

Then, at a quid each...

An interesting repertoire classical disc promoting, I think, a Portuguese bank...

A 2CD best of, of a Cuban Star...

I thought I had this, having bought it on our visit to Toronto in 2015 - bought this copy for the better cover but it turns out the Canadian purchase was volume 1 and this is volume 2 - result...

I already have a download of this - his music inspired a track on the "Fallingsky" CBQ album - always nice to find the real thing of something you like...

This is wall of sound-tastic...

Back to Corstorphine and, while I awaited a call to take Anne back home, further trawling turned up this 2CD set of little known disco tunes for £2...

Picked Anne up from Jane's and back home, Fang entered almost immediately and took up residence on the bed...

The ripping and listening began - as we noted, rather amazingly, 8th placed Queen of the South were winning 4-0 against 3rd top Edinburgh City...

A 93rd min penalty for 4-1 took some shine off but a great result...

A swift drive to my mum's around tea time following a call from her medical alarm people...

I arrived to find her sitting watching her TV as normal, without a clue as to her having somehow pressed her alarm and having been oblivious to the alarm people trying to speak to her through the system...

And a swift drive back home - better safe than sorry...

In the evening, "Elementary" entertained as we continued to avoid the wall to wall coverage of the dead monarch...

A good Saturday...

Highlight of the Day : Shopping...
