Yellow matter custard...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet – Acoustic Deeperdown
Yellow Matter Custard – One Night in New York City
Ferde Grofe - Grand Canyon Suite
Shostakovich – Romance (The Gadfly)
Van Der Graaf Generator – The Box (Disc 4)

Spent most of the morning re working the acoustic version of “Deeperdown”, this time keeping the backing vocals – I’m still not sure if this works or not....

Also had to prepare a CBQ biography for a proposed gig – demo and biog to go to the promoter..

The postie brought Yellow Matter Custard’s 2CD + 1 DVD triple set, “One Night In New York City”. It’s a Beatles tribute by Neal Morse (ex Spock’s Beard), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Greg Bissonette (master bassist) and Paul Gilbert (ex Mr Big and Racer X – and one shredder of a guitarist)...

I sat watching the DVD with a big smile on my face as the four musicians are so obviously enjoying themselves. Most of the songs are “obscure” (if anything by the Beatles can be obscure) album tracks – 31 in all and over two hours of fun, fun, fun...

Great stuff!

Once Anne came back from Edinburgh, we started wall papering the back porch and finished this fairly quickly...

Then I finally removed everything from the back room in preparation for the carpet laying tomorrow...

One of the things I decided to dump was my first mic stand, bought in 1979 to use with the group Capital Models....

Watched France finally beat Togo after a long hard struggle then decided to wipe a lot of wav files from the hard disc to clear up some space. I burned Van Der Graaf generator’s “The Box” 4CD set to disc and listened to disc four, eventually falling asleep in the living room while Anne watched Jonathon Ross...

Highlight of the Day : Yellow Matter Custard DVD
