Aaarrrggghhh!!!

The jukebox is broken. Volume control will only go down the way. So volume is consequently now stuck at zero…

It will take some “micro-soldering” to fix this otherwise it’s down the tubes. The very small upside is that I’ll still be able to get back the 12,000 odd tracks off the hard-drive before it goes in the bin…

One CD that won’t be going on to the Jukebox for now is Dream Theater’s “Octavarium” which arrived today from e-bay – I have no further items outstanding now…

I’ve noticed that e-bay is becoming my sole source for new music – I’ve not been to FOPP for a few weeks now although I did visit both HMV and Virgin over the last two days but could not be enticed to buy – even by their Summer Sale offers…

Another night of “should be and could be” but instead I watched “Rogue Traders” – about con-men going round and knocking on little old ladies’ doors telling them their roofs needed fixing and doing very little indeed (and almost nothing that was actually required) in return for said little old ladies nest-eggs…

Then France v Spain (1st half only – getting a bit footballed out now) and “CSI”…

Stuck some things up into the attic, watched the highlights of Brazil v Ghana and of France v Spain, listened to some CDs while Anne booked tickets for Richard Herring at The Fringe, and then off to bed…

Lowlight of the Day : Jukebox goosed again
