A start to the kissing tree which may come to nothing...

Playlist

Tuesday and, first thing, working on a new collaboration with Edward Spark, he sent me stems for something called "The Kissing Tree"...

A pre-breakfast idea completed and sent back to him...

Then, breakfast...

Then, listening back to and sorting out, the recording of last night's Alice Cooper chat, for posterity...

Then, several hours finally writing up the diary for the Dublin trip and the weekend just passed...

Up to date once more, except I did not write up yesterday - the torture never stops...

This afternoon some dipping in to the Alice Cooper book, as is my want...

Later on, I started from the beginning...

Baked potatoes for tea - ubiquitous beans, my filling...

135 on "University Challenge"...

A couple of "Scandal"...

Now well into the penultimate season...

Then, I fell asleep, having been awake since before 4am due to being unable to sleep...

Consequently, to bed at 10:30...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day: Working with Edward Spark...

As always from Crispycat Recordings, this release is entirely Free to Stream or Name Your Price (including zero) to Download (with over an hour of bonuses!). "Elevation", an extremely quiet (quite possibly the quietest LP you will ever hear) ambient LP from Cloudland Blue Quartet, was born out of a moment in the creation of the previous LP, "Broken" when things with that album were almost abandoned. "Elevation" is based on the ambience initially created for what became "Broken", which was eventually released in September 2026 but without the initially envisaged ambience. Once again, this LP is designed to be listened to in one gapless session and you can do that by downloading the album. For those who do download, there is a bonus LP, comprising the twelve tracks from the original version of "Elevation", which come with an alternative cover and which add a further 72 minutes of material to the bundle.

Over 800 shows have been published since 2014, sadly, only the latest 10 are able to be made available on Mixcloud. In a one-man crusade to encourage the world to broaden its musical horizons, David podcasts a weekly Eclectic Selection of music from across his vast record collection. On the programme each week, he kicks off with his seven new releases of the week, a couple of the latest items from CBQ and, then, seven back catalogue items of the week and, finally, a collection of other new things into the library. Get ready to hear stuff you've never heard before, far out jazz, tuneless contemporary classical music, electronic, pop music, ambient, leftfield, prog rock - anything and everything. It's eclectic!
