Up early to capture new music...

...including the new one from Sparks...

...who, today, we were off to that Glasgow to see...

Once I'd been confirmed as a maintain re losing, I sorted out all the new stuff (see below) and then, post a light lunch, we walked down the hill for the bus to that Glasgow...

Of course, a wee visit to Missing...

40 minutes later I emerged with three purchases...

Today's pile...

2CDs and a DVD of the full version of the much sampled for posthumous records live performance by jazz vocalist Eva Cassidy - her version of "Fields of Gold" is peerless for me, perhaps as it always reminds me of my old friend Sandy Harkness, played as it was at his funeral, so many years ago now...

A sampler from a 1980s record label which is most likely very dated indeed...

...and a cheeky wee reggae sampler - can't go wrong with something like this...

Met back up with Anne and we took the Subway to the West End and enjoyed a much needed drink at Cooper's...

...before taking the Subway back again to Rishi's on Bath St...

The opening Dhosa was up to the usual standards...

...while the Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Kadai also hit the mark...

Post slap up feed, back on the Subway to Kinning Park, followed by a 20 minute walk down to the river...

...and over Bell's Bridge...

...for tonight's gig at the Armadillo...

I did not partake of the Merch...

To be fair, I never do...

The view from the office this evening...

The stage was set...

There followed a sterling, stamina defying, top notch performance from the brothers Mael and their excellent set of musicians - with a set which dipped into their back catalogue across the last 50 years, from their 2nd LP to today's release, their 26th...

All too soon it was over...

Their post performance pic...

...featured us, way up at the top...

Out under starry skies and back over the bridge...

A bus into town and a short walk to Buchanan St, only to find we'd missed the 11 o'clock bus home by just 1 minute...

An hour long wait for the next one...

...and a journey, which, normally, takes around 50 minutes took 90, due to various added in stop offs, e.g. Livingston and Edinburgh Airport...

Finally, a walk up the hill...

...and into the house at 1:50 am...

To bed at 2...

A good day - apart from the end bit...
