Up and final packing...
...and tidying...
The beast was readying itself for travel...
But, first, there was the question of breakfast...
Out...
...and a long the road to Backt...
...noting our alighting bus stop for the final time...
A tasty last breakfast in Nantes...
..and out into the sun...
...ready to trundle...
Looked like we were leaving behind good skies...
Keys deposited...
One last look at the overgrown telegraph pole...
...and the stop for our bus, the C1, into town...
To Cathedral...
A bus switch to the C4...
Over the bridge...
...for a last switch onto the 38...
..arriving at the airport at 10:30...
...just over 2 hours to go...
Final mechanical beasts noted...
A wait in a cafe, without ordering, ensued. as we had no way of knowing there were actually two passport control cabins - the first of which remains, probably to this day, unmanned...
Finally we were given a tip off and made our way through for a seat at the gate...
The view from the office this morning...
Finally boarded 20 minutes after our supposed take off time...
...and, took off 45 minutes late...
Au revoir, Nantes...
90 minutes later, the Forth bridges were spotted...
..and down we came at 2:05 UK time...
Of course, there was then a thirty five minute wait for steps to be brought to the plane...
Passport control and the airport bus were thankfully uneventful...
Home and settling in, which included dealing with the developing wasps' nest in the attic...
Put in a bag and taken outside and placed in a hedge to provide a fighting chance for the beasts - most likely to no avail...
Managed to pull together and record this week's podcast for issue tomorrow...
And so the catch up began...
