Another week begins and, it was a lovely sunny day - the need for my onesie now becoming a memory...

Up and illustrating the situation...

Yesterday, or the day before, someone recommended Bloch - I looked up Ernst Bloch and ended up with a 2CD best of by Italian electro outfit, port-royal...

Today I looked for Ernest Bloch (turns out Ernst was a philosopher, not a composer) and was much impressed by his string quartets (a disc of all four, recorded on the same day back in 1954) and piano quintets...

So that was a nice start to the day...

A tasty egg, mushroom and tomato based breakfast...

Then, to changing the listening set up in the back room to what I'd swithered about the other day...

The CD player, amp and speakers set up removed..

The better CD player brought through from the computer room (optional speaker is now an option, if it comes to it)...

The final position...

Some CD listening via the AKG K702s...

..and then, into the office to sign some paperwork, before heading out to Loanhead...

Today, my mum was off to the Womens' Rural...

Thunderbirds were go...

Into the car no problem...

Cup at the ready (has to be a light one or she can't lift it!)...

Early arrival, sitting next to her old cum, Jetta Fisher...

Leaving her there for an afternoon of fun, I drove to Sainsbury's to do her shopping, then, on up to Penicuik to deliver a birthday card...

The beast was about its business in the hot sun...

Some £1 CDs partaken of in two charity outlets in the town...

3CDs of fun...

2 CDs of fun with an awful cover...

Turns out a couple of the tracks on this are exactly the same as the dodgy CD of Indian music I bought a few weeks ago...

There is no place for vocals in jazz...

A box with just 1 CD of unknown dance music...

Collected my mum, took her home, gave her the opportunity to sit in the sun in her garden...

"No thanks"...

Chum Craig did this...

Showed it to mum - "oh the garden looks nice!"...

Home after a convoluted rush-hour journey - home made soup from Anne - her best ever possibly...

Looks dreadful in this pic but it is super tasty...

Some listening and ripping while Anne was at Pilates...

...along with Baked Potato duties...

Said potato...

Grand Final of University Challenge - Durham v Bristol...

Kind of glad that "Maglocklin" wasn't on the winning side...

Us?  We only got 40...

Pathetic...

"Midsomer Murders" was its usual nonsense self for two hours of Gilbert & Sullivan related rubbish..

Which entertained...

Highlight of the Day : It was sunny...
