The listening to recent (last six months') classical acquisitions continued today...

Beautiful blue skies in the early evening...

...as we headed down to brother-in-law Keith and sister-in-law Maureen's for some yummy and, sadly, unpictured home made risotto followed by home made fruit crumble...

Yes, there may well have been some imbibation of red wine too...

Around seven, over the Leith Links to Seafield Bowling Club...

...for a very enjoyable fund raising quiz in aid of The Ripple Project...

The Bay City Fowlers were right in the thick of it as we approached the final round...

OK, some weren't quite as excited as us about this...

In the end, despite a whopping 17/20 in the last round, our (only in retrospect) sworn enemies, "Heat" maintained their one point lead with exactly the same run in score...

Booo!

Nonetheless, a top night...

Both we and "Heat" had managed to overcome the, now not so, "Fantastic Four" in the last round...

However, the four points we'd given away by changing answers in an earlier round from "donkey" to "horse", "Ireland" to "UK", "brain" to "back of the head" and "15" to "20", had cost us dearly...

Not that I want to win a quiz if I'm taking part of course...

As a kind of a consolation, a 4 book set of Su Doku books was acquired via the fund raising raffle...

A nice walk back to Keith and Maureen's, where Keith demonstrated (also nicely), their new front bench...

...and a drive home from the EP for some trip prep...

Meanwhile, this had arrived...

I bought it after searching for the version of Pachelbel's "Canon in D" which Eno used as his inspiration for side two of his 1975 album "Discreet Music"...

Turns out this version is by the right people but was recorded in the 80's - it's the 1968 version I'm after...

Despite this very, very minor disappointment, another good night..

To bed, taking a re-listen to the next CBQ album on the cans...

Nice - if a little weird in places...

Highlight of the Day : Out with Keith and Maureen...
