Out into the dawn...

Picking up just one croissant this morning...

...and back to the apartment...

...where Farinelli soundtracked breakfast...

...indoors...

...then, outdoors...

A good walk this morning...

Through Place Fernand LaFarge...

...to Rue St Catherine...

...and to Place de la Victoire, through the Porte d'Aquitaine

Then, back, along Cours Pasteur, taking in the synagogue...

...and heading for the Cathedral Saint-Andre de Bordeaux...

But, we were enticed into a wee bakery on the way...

...where extremely good chocolate filled chocolate eclairs with hot chocolate were enjoyed...

On to the cathedral and enjoying it and its surroundings...

...including the University...

...and including the Town Hall...

Wlaking further on and through the Porte Dijeaux...

...we found Place Gambetta...

...where a rest was taken before heading back towards the Galleries des Beaux Arts...

...and the Musee des Beaux Arts...

...which is on the agenda for tomorrow, our last day...

Today, however, we enjoyed the gardens which sit between the two wings of the gallery and which are also overlooked by the Hotel du Ville...

These are not my headphones...

We walked back towards the cathedral...

...noting the strange Tribunal building..

Lunchtime...

We were looking to ascend the bell tower which, to avoid damaging vibrations to the cathedral, sits separately in the square - but a large group of school children arrived as we were enjoying lunch, so we postponed our visit for 45 minutes or so and walked back to Rue St Catherine...

...and to FNAC where 4 classical CDs were acquired and a cretinous rabbits calendar was noted...

Back to the tower - only 19 people are allowed inside at any time so a further 20 minute wait ensued...

It was worth it though - 232 steps...

How happy we look...

A smile is very nearly cracked...

The descent...

...and out and back down Cours a'Alsace et Lorraine...

...and back through Place Fernand LaFarge...

...to the balcony...

...where wine and nuts accompanied an inspection of today's bounty...

Relaxing...

...before heading out for dinner around 7:30...

We decided on Palatium on the corner of Pasteur and Victor Hugo...

A superb choice...

A boat was pushed out...

Now that's what I call a Crème Brulee..

We ended the day with a walk back down Victor Hugo and along the banks of the Garonne to the bourse, for more shots of the artificial mirror - although, tonight, ripples were to the fore...

Another good day...

Highlight of the Day : Up the tower...
