Little to report today, other than a recent struggle to determine a fault with Anne's mum's TV (formerly the TV of sister Pam) continued...

Tonight we brought it to our house and (albeit with no signal) it worked perfectly - given the problem is that it keeps switching off for no reason...

I took it back to its home and, within 10 minutes of my leaving, it was reportedly off again...

I can only suspect there is a problem with Mary's electrics and an electrician rather than a mucking about with your TV son-in-law is what's required...

On the way home, Radio 3 was broadcasting a concert from Skipton Town Hall by the Escher String Quartet, featuring works by Mendelssohn (Quartet No 4), Janacek (Quartet No 1) and Brahms (Quartet No 2)...

I was able to kind of recreate it from my own extensive collection of quartets - and threw in Janacek's second for good measure...

Wonderful stuff..

The evening's listening was rounded off by a rare Eno track...
