Up early and out into the garden...

...with mistiness in the background...

To my mum's for a quick visit pre a trip away with the Exec Producer - mum has had her ears tested (at long last) and a quite considerable amount of my inheritance has been laid out on aids to her hearing which, to be fair, should make things a lot more acceptable on the old "what's the weather like today?" "Half past eight" front...

Back home under now blue skies (and behind a dirty windscreen)...

For brunch...

At the feeding station, brunch was being enjoyed by chums too...

To the airport - coffee and cake around 2:30...

Flying to France at 4, arriving for a 7pm sunset...

There was a clue as to our destination in the arrivals hall...

The beast and his Exec Producer were about their business in Bordeaux...

A bus into town and a tram for a couple of stops...

...and into our apartment on the Cours d'Alsace et Lorraine in the Old Town...

Out into the night...

...to nearby Place du Palais...

...where further sustenance was undertaken at La Pie Colette...

A post meal constitutional took us to Place St Pierre...

...and back to Chez Fred...

...for drinks...

Then, more walking re an initial explore...

Down to the river front and the spectacular Place de la Bourse...

..and a walk up the packed Rue St Remi...

...before heading home via Place Camille Julien...

The views from the balcony were good...

We were liking the look of this new to us destination...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A visit to France...
