Two unexpectedly early arrivals from Monday night's ordering spree, Henze's first six symphonies, conducted by the man himself and Feldman's 79 minute String Quartet (1979)...
Apparently, neither composer was a popular babysitter...
Both discs fulfil the brief re my spree, containing as they do far out 20th Century classical works...
I believe I have opined before of such stuff, that you really have to be in the mood...
