Awoken by voices outside the window at around 4:15am...

Crispycat Towers is super-quiet so any extraneous noises in the middle of the night jar...

This coupled with past experiences (way back) means any noise in the night precludes sleep for your correspondent...

Unable to get back to the land of nod, even with Mr Feldman switched back on, it was up at 4:40...

Downstairs at 4:55 to find Meg the Black Cat in her place of choice - she doesn't sleep upstairs much any more...

To the kitchen...

For coffee...

Meg was looking coy at the door - she knows she won't get fed if she doesn't take her medication - comprising brain tablet and thyroid tablet...

She did not get breakfast until just before I left the house around 6:55...

...to pick up Anne's mum and take her to the bus station for her holiday trip...

Good skies...

To Tesco on the way home and new batteries bought re my mum's front doorbell - along with some kleidung for me...

Out to my mum's for around 8:30 - phones given an initial sort with a follow up due tomorrow - doorbell fixed...

Back home for breakfast in the garden around 9:30...

...with planes overhead...

..and weeds in the new expensive houses' guttering...

The garden was enjoying the sunshine...

..and I do like an aerial...

A record fair with Count Brodski was foregone to head back to my mum's around lunchtime to take her on a wee, much needed, spirit lifting trip to the garden centre near Queensferry...

...where lunch was enjoyed amongst the greenery...

..and statues...

..and bathing visitors...

Then, a tour round the beds...

An unfortunate tree...

The centre attracts people of all ages...

Ice cream at McDonalds and then home after taking mum home, an enjoyable few hours - without which she'd just have been sitting at home doing nothing...

Anne finished off the front step - looking good...

...and I did something I like...

..including sorting out classical CD filing...

A "Montalbano" in the early evening...

A call from sister Sheila to advise the new phones at mum's are up and running...

Worked briefly on what may be the first new song of the next CBQ album, if there is to be one....

A nice wee chord sequence is brewing and the hint of a melody taking shape - it remains unrecorded in any format though re the temporary computer set up's suspected limitations...

Music listening and writing this up...

Wilting by eleven...

A good, hot, sunny,packed day...

Highlight of the Day : Up super early and doing stuff almost all day...
