Bill Nelson's Red Noise - Sound on Sound
Devo - Something For Everybody
Hot and sunny from the off today - another scorcher...
A walk down the road...
I like a white house...
No mist around the cathedral today...
At lunchtime, a walk along to Fopp, more stock input...
Devo's last album "Something for Everyone", 2nd hand for just two of your English pounds - this album absolutely rocks, almost without time to catch a breath, from beginning to end - it's brilliant...
and I've had it on a hard drive since 2010 but never listened to it since the day I ripped it...
My other purchase was Bill Nelson's Red Noise - an album which I've always thought was great - but from memory only, from when I owned it on vinyl - so there was a good chance it would be a let down...
I should not have worried - it too is brilliant - an excellent slice of up tempo new wave pop-rock...
Meanwhile the heat was sweltering...
Meg the Black Cat was flaked out...
..and complaining about the heat...
Meanwhile, a frittata was concocted...
...and was very tasty indeed - preceded by the remains of yesterday's top notch soup...
Looks like the Meg the Black Cat clock has bitten the dust after just 13 days...
The real Meg refused to be roused...
Later on, "CSI" and "New Girl" entertained and the heat withdrew and the wind got up...
Good...
Highlight of the Day : Two great albums for £5; Annie's excellent frittata...
