I keep a list of my albums of the year - a collection of ten LPs for each year from 1959 to now...
That's 540 albums til the end of 2012...
This weekend, a new project - to ensure each of these 540 is ripped to a hard drive...
I checked...
160 missing...
However, of those, 98 were present on the original jukebox - the "Rock & Pop Jukebox" so, this morning, some time spent copying these from said jukebox to the hard drive (which in turn tells me that that jukebox needs to be backed up completely to a hard drive)...
I noted too that on a few of those, some tracks are missing...
This will need to be corrected...
This is how I waste my time..
Out into the sun at 11:20 and to the bus stop...
...for a trip down to Leith...
...to meet up with Keith and Maureen for lunch and a lazy afternoon at the Shore Bar, soundtracked by some jazz...
...and accompanied by some refreshments...
Tasty food...
Good chat...
Good service...
Good sounds...
Keith was in contact with nephew Craig re today's Wimbledon final between Andy Murray and Novac Djokovic...
It sounded exciting...
Back out into the sun...
And a walk back to K&M's place - Keith checking the time...
...and possibly thinking back to this, five years and a month ago...
...emulated here...
Arrived in time to see the climax of the match and an extraordinary final game where Murray was three points up with one more to win...
The next three points went to Djokovic...
And a fourth, break point...
A further two break points saved, then advantage Murray...
Final points tally 8-6 rather than the expected at 40-Love, 4-0...
..and so, for the first time since 1936, a British player won Wimbledon...
Well done that man...
A wee seat in the back garden...
The kind of nameless rabbit enjoyed some celebratory carrot...
A packed bus home, accompanied by many returning from the seaside...
Off at "The Hub" and walking through...
...past the still ongoing building...
...back to Crispycat Towers...
"The White Queen" continues to entertain...
Some listening, some ordering, a refund re the baroque set (good show) and then bed...
A hot day...
