Up at 7:15 and getting ready for the trip to Glasgow, to the delightful sounds of Herr Hofmann, a contemporary of Mozart and one of the stars of Vienna in the 18th century...

A porridge based breakfast at 8:15...

...and off in the car at 9:30, soundtracked by Pam's band of choiuce, The Tubes...

Arrived and parked at Gartnaval Hospital off The Great Western Road around 10:45 and to The Beatson...

...where we met with Professor Chalmers and Nurse Practitioner, Mairi...

Around an hour was spent talking through Pam's condition, situation and potential options - but this was our first meeting and so it was mostly about gleaning information - there will be a case conference on Wednesday and, if all the MRI scans sent from London are able to be studied properly, (a couple are being reconfigured), Pam and I, with sister Sheila, will return next Monday for a treatment plan to be set out...

So, despite, in reality, nothing changing, we left the meeting uplifted and confident that the Prof and his team will be doing everything they possibly can to help Pam once all the facts are known and a treatment plan set out...

As you might imagine, we had spent the weekend kind of dreading what might happen today but, when it came, it was relatively positive - certainly no-one is throwing in the towel and the fight goes on...

We drove to nearby Byres Road, found a parking spot in a side street...

...and enjoyed lunch at an Italian, Paperino's, with artwork which appealed to your correspondent...

Despite what the pic below might suggest, it was actually the ladies who suggested a visit to Fopp...

...where both Pam and Anne availed themselves of some DVDS while I procured a remaster of (probably my favourite Eno album) "On Land", along with a live disc by Miles Davis and a classic one off sextet recording from 1958 featuring drummer turned vibes man, Cal Tjader and sax maestro Stan Getz...

Pam slept most of the way home - understandably she's not been sleeping well these past few days for worrying...

Coffee was enjoyed back home...

...before I took Pam home to our mum's - amazingly Pam advised she "quite liked" the Miles Davis disc which soundtracked the journey...

In the evening, a call with sister Sheila confirmed she will make the return journey next Monday...

That's about it - a stressful day which didn't really resolve anything but made things seem a little better than they had been...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A good meeting with the Professor...
