Up at 5, due to the shoulder pain removing any notion of sleep...

Listening was resumed re the new classical box...

Meg the Black Cat was on hand...

Concurrent internet surfing on the I-Player - including a stumbled across Time Out article on "100 Songs That Changed History"...

As with all such lists, many of the entries are questionable...

Breakfast at home around nine then, still in very much pain, a walk down for the bus, to the West End, past the castle...

...through the grassmarket...

 ...and up Victoria Street...

...to the music library to meet up with Dr Prog...

Nothing borrowed but a fine paid - I owe the doc £2...

A walk down to Fopp where the doc bought the new Steve Hacket 2CD set while I dipped into the back catalogue of "The Godfather of Acid Jazz", Roy Ayers...

Two albums from 1967 and 1968 were secured, luckily these preceed nicely the mega cheese pish which spawned the above mentioned movement...

To nearby CEX, a hardware and software exchange facility liked by the doc...

We noted they no longer stock CDs...

Another nail in the coffin...

Bidding farewell, I walked along George St and down Frederick St to our 12:30 rendezvous with Count Brodski and Lady Penelope at Iglu, where the Exec Poducer already awaited me and royalty was, as always, tardy but not by much...

Lovely grub was scoffed, including sauteed mushrooms, mushroom and taragon soup, mussels in cider, hake with veg, boar burgers and salmon...

To Penny and Alan's disappointment, I forgot to record its presentation for posterity...

I did however capture her new idea for dining related spectacles...

Good chat as always...

Brodski passed me an excellent CD by Texas kind-of-proggers, White Denim and, post a visit to Boots for drugs and an uneventful bus trip home, this was mightily enjoyed along with the jazzy sounds of Mr Ayers...

In the evening, "Strictly" for Anne, was followed by the last "Dr Who" and the first of "Merlin", both highly entertaining...

A call to my mum's - Pam doing fine - a late night last night at Liz's and a relaxing Saturday...

Arrangements for tomoorrow depend on my ability to drive, which right now is zero re the shoulder, which the Exec Producer has diagnosed a strained pectoral muscle - who am I to argue...

Painkillers and hot water bottle applied pre "Law & Order : Criminal Intent", "Match of the Day" and bed...

Highlight of the Day : Four hour lunch with Alan and Penny...
