Bay City Rollers -Rollermania
Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
Levin Torn White - Levin Torn White
Lutoslawski - String Quartets

No music while I slept last night (a rarity) as my headphones, acquired not that long ago with the wee 4GB Sony Walkman, gave up the ghost - this hasn't been a good week for headphone related incidents...

Luckily, I have a couple of pairs of Sennheisers in a bag on standby, purchased 16 months ago in a sale in HMV with just such an occasion in mind...

Of course, the very night the nutphones go on the blink, Pam was sleeping in the back room, where the emergency phones were...

Got them first thing this morning though, with both Pam and I up at 7:30 and Anne sleeping on...

Pam watched the rugby while I enjoyed the jukebox on shuffleplay before plumping for Enescu's string quartets...

At nine, with Anne just rising, Pam and I got wrapped up...

...and took a walk round the neighbourhood, spotting cats, dogs, squirrels, crows, snails, slugs and the building site on our way...

Pam did not like the roadworks...

But enjoyed having a tree growing out of her head...

Home by 10 and by 10:30 we were off out again, driving over to Stockbridge and Patisserie Florentin - but , horror of horrors, no tables - there were a couple occupied by people who had finished eating/drinking and were merely reading the Sunday papers - but they were not budging...

Oh well...

Down the road to a nearby coffee shop where everything is baked in house and breakfast was had at the second attempt...

A walk round the Stockbridge market...

...and then along the Water of Leith...

...before retracing our steps back to the car...

This, in conjunction with the earlier walk this morning, seemed to wear Pam out...

As you might expect, she is very apprehensive about what's going to happen with her new consultant in Glasgow tomorrow...

I cannot begin to imagine how she must be feeling...

Back home and Anne took off down to Tesco for lasagne ingredients re dinner this evening...

Pam surfed the net on her lap top and I mucked about creating a cover image for my 1977 recording, "The Drone Effect"...

"Spiderman 2" was enjoyed on the Tivo - Dr Octopus was rather preposterous of course...

A few episodes of "Malcolm in the Middle" also entertained - Pam's first viewing of this series which Anne and I enjoyed first time round nearly a decade ago...

A call of support from mum...

Anne's lasagne was deemed extremely tasty indeed and was enjoyed with a nice French red, before the ladies settled down for the results shows for (a) Strictly and (b) X Factor (Pam only really for that one) while I was upstairs mucking about on the PC ensuring I know where I'm going tomorrow...

"Spooks" will be enjoyed at nine - no doubt, as last week, Pam will nod off - but that's her perogative...

We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, bigger of course for Pam...

Highlight of the Day : Has to be Anne's lasagne...
