First thing, some Swedish symphonic music booked for later this month in Glasgow...

A scorcher in Edinburgh...

Some tentative clouds later on but still roasting...

Poor wee Meg the Black cat spent much of the day at the vet having blood taken and tested...

Her suspected hyperthyroid was confirmed but, on the good news front, she has normal kidney function...

She was so well behaved there was no need to knock her out but a wee shave was required...

She wears the patch as a badge of honour...

French ladies and Curtis Mayfield entertained as we lazed in the heat, quaffing white wine and some beers purchased a month ago (already) from Traquair House...

Some time was also spent this evening whittling down lists of CDs to be included on the various jukeboxes re the re-organisation thereof, which has been added to my never ending "to do" list of nonsense things "to do"...

A very tasty Friday night chinese meal was delivered and enjoyed, prior to "Coronation Street" (how can the Stapemeister still be alive?), "Have I Got News For You" (hosted by the strangely attractive Sharon Horgan) and "Law & Order" (complete with preposterous "I was defending my daughter from the wrath of God" murder defence)...

Off to bed with the building site generator vibrating through my body...

Highlight of the Day : Meg the Black Cat is not too bad...
