Duped, clogged, zonked...

A visit to HMV today resulted in the acquisition of a 2CD set of live recordings by Soft Machine entitled "Kings of Canterbury"...

I have not listened to it yet but some online reviews (accessed post purchase) are scathing...

Disc one is recorded live in Amsterdam around the time of "Volume Two" and ought to be good as it was professionally recorded for potential release as a live album at the time...

Disc two comprises recordings by friends and relations of the band to cassette recorder and are supposed to be awful - we shall see...

For less than the cost of a pint of your continental lager though, I'm sure it will be fine...

This evening, to Ignite, a tasty Indian Restaurant in Morrison Street, for a tasty Indian with various chums including Jimmy and Kris-with-a-K, as seen here towards the end of a raucous evening...

Jimmy had insisted on sampling everyone's abandoned curry...

Out onto the streets for your correspondent at 10:30 and hopped on to a bus at Haymarket at 10:35...

At 11:00 I hopped off again just a few yards along from Haymarket...

Bon Jovi tubes exiting their concert at Murrayfield clogged up all roads and routes well into the night...

Look at these idiots waiting for a bus, any bus - including the one I had been on, which was probably still only a few yards from Haymarket...

I was forced into a worse for wear wearing off inducing walk all the way along to just past Edinburgh Zoo...

...from where I was thankfully Executively Produced up the hill and home...

Off to bed, somewhat zonked by your Indian Cobra Beer...

Highlight of the Day : Tasty Indian...
