On tour, kind of...

Up early and to the gym first thing...

Was going good guns to the rocking sounds of the mighty Grand Funk when, around two miles in, a ping from the once broken left ankle brought a premature halt to proceedings...

Nothing serious but pointless to continue so, back home...

Out to Tesco with Anne post toast and coffee and provisions secured for tonight's visit from old chums Margaret and Glen...

I planned a "lager tour of the world" - an enjoyable former staple at Crispycat Towers Friday or Saturday night visits...



The rest of the day was spent tidying (both of us), cooking, scrubbing, cleaning and watching the rugby (the Exec Producer), listening to music - compiling an MP3 CD containing 1 track each from my recent list of my current top 100 albums (me) and being disappointed as both our footie teams crashed to away 3-1 defeats at Motherwell and Dunfermline (both of us)...

I'd given up two invites for hospitatlity at Murrayfield this afternoon/evening, passing them on to chums Kris-with-a-k and Gavin, in favour of the much more enjoyable and convivial company of Anne, Margaret and Glen and Anne's superb home made pakoras, lamb and chicken curries and lemon posset...

After some rugby-tube-to-blame mucking about with the trains, M&G arrived just before 8, eventually taxi'd by son Sam and his chum Gary and a delightful five hour session of chat, tasty food and touring of the world of lager and fine wine ensued...

In fact, so enjoyable was it all that your correspondent completely forgot to document the occasion...

The boys returned around 1 to pick up some worse for wear adults and ferry them home while the camera was finally brought out to record some kitchen debris...



Some quiet time with Meg the Black Cat was enjoyed at the end of the night, as the Top 100 MP3 CD continued to soundtrack five hours on...



Lights out on an enjoyable Saturday...
