Cloudland Blue Quartet - I Believed You Said We Dreamt

Up at six and to the PC for another frustrating couple of hours as problems re the internet continue...

Transferred all the WAV files for copied CDs I’ve yet to burn, over onto the new drive and freed up space on the first external drive...

Moved the Work in Progress on the new LP to a normal post (see below) rather than the side-bar, as having it there seemed to be slowing up the pageload...

It’s now updated to include the current version of the new song I worked on (and finished) today...

Drove into town to the library and handed back the four CDs I borrowed three weeks ago...

Trawled around the charity shops up at Newington for any worthwhile CDs but found nothing – nothing either at Avalanche, so, after wasting a couple of hours, headed home via Victor Hugo deli in Marchmont where I bought some lovely rye bread, a small baguette and a couple of slices each of peppered salami and gruyere cheese...

Spent a couple of hours after lunch working on recording the new song – adding a percussion track to allow Creek buddy Craig to create a remix at his leisure, given that everything is synchronised...

Fetched our old TV out the attic and made our way round to Anne’s mum’s to replace her on-the-blink set and work out all the connections which will allow her to watch again in comfort...

Back home and another hour or so working on the song before we walked down the hill to the new Indian restaurant, Abida, where we enjoyed a tasty meal...

The rain was falling both as we went and on our return journey (during which we came across a very large toad just sitting on the pavement, enjoying the shower)...

We were glad to get back into the house just before high winds and horizontal lashing rain kicked in...

Called Dr Prog to firm up arrangements for tomorrow’s visit to Glasgow for It Bites...

Watched “Harry Hill’s TV Burp” then I made my final additions to the song before shutting down the PC...

Here’s the result...

I Believed You Said We Dreamt (4:26)

We both fell asleep during “Law & Order” – we’ll never know why the man was shot in Time Square...

Highlight of the Day : New song, good food...and a toad!
