...and I bought a CD of oboe quartets and quintets by Franz Krommer – a composer of whom I hadn’t previously heard but who now provided the soundtrack to our journey...

After the stop at Moher we drove on to the small village of Dingle and played probably the most incompetent round of Pitch & Putt in living memory – we must both have taken at least 150 each to get round the 18 holes...
Frozen to the bone, we enjoyed some coffee and cake at “the last music cafĂ© before America”...
We drove back to Limerick and caught the tail end of today’s festival events...
...before a quick half in a little bar then on to Doolin’s Pub where we enjoyed a slap up feed with Alice Cooper’s radio show playing on the sound system...
Another busy and enjoyable day – during which we probably ate slightly too much for our own good...
Highlight of the Day : The cliffs, the pitch and putt, the food
