There is surely nothing so precious as time...

Playlist
Keith Jarrett – Fort Yaweh
Cloudland Blue Quartet – September Setlist
King Crimson – Nashville Rehearsals
Rheostatics – Introducing Happiness

Led to the music of Keith Jarrett today by a blog entry at The Bad Plus site re great jazz albums of the years 1973-1990, not generally held to be a vintage era for the medium but the music to which it led me, holds up well across the years...

I seem to have spent much of this week just watching telly – and so it was again tonight...

“Emmerdale” – passes the time...

“Coronation St” – the best soap on the box by far...

“The War at Home” – reasonable new US sitcom...

“The Simpsons” – Friday night highlight...

“The Law of the Playground” – dreadful talking head pish reminiscences of what happened to Z-List celebs when they were at school – walked away from this one for some King Crimson...

“The Best of the Worst” – below par “quiz” show along the lines of “Have I Got News” and “They Think It’s All Over”...

“The Charlotte Church Show” – watched the excruciatingly embarrassing first half then gave up....

“Dear Green Place” - disappointing pilot for possible new comedy from the “Still Game” people....

What a waste of time....

Just before bed, Meg the Black Cat entertained by jumping up onto the new shelves in the back room, knocking over books and generally behaving like a lovely but mischievous wee cat....

Highlight of the Day : The Simpsons...
