Mr Eno agrees with me...

Hmm - significant leg/ankle/foot pain today...

Drank a couple of pints of Kronenberg tonight and then had an indian takeaway...

Watched "The IT Crowd" and "My Name Is Earl"...

Updated the diary and uploaded the CDs I bought on Sunday into the Jukebox...

Listened to said CDs as I also updated the Photo Blog...

Discovered that on Saturday 28th January 2006 a letter from Brian Eno appeared in The Independent....

He was responding to an article by columnist Howard Jacobson, who was responding to the 2-part television series Richard Dawkins' "Root Of All Evil?" in which Dawkins responded to the existence of religion (you may recall my own remarks on religion following those programmes caused a bit of a stramash)....

I am fortified to find that Mr Eno agrees with me...

David Reilly AKA Cloudland Blue Quartet, created his first soundscape, "The Drone Effect" back in December 1977. 46 years later, he finally gave two live soundscape performances, in Edinburgh on 4 November 2023 and in Newcastle on 18 January 2024, playing the 40 minute piece available here on Bandcamp as "Live Suite 2023/24". On 30 August 2024 he premiered a new 40 minute suite for 2024/25 at Fopp in Edinburgh and this piece was performed again at the Switched On Electronic Music Festival in Whitby, Yorkshire on 9 November 2024. This album, "Live Suite 2024/25" was created specifically to be performed at these last two events and, like "Live Suite 2023/24", may well be performed again in the future. Cloudland Blue Eclectic Selection

In a one-man crusade to encourage the world to broaden its musical horizons, David has been broadcasting a weekly Eclectic Selection of music from across his vast record collection since 2014.
