Podcast, collaboration and palaces...

Playlist

Up late today...

...and writing in the dark...

Had the thought that the ten London Chamber Orchestra CDs from 1989/90 (one of which was my CD of the day a couple of days ago) ought to be re-released in a box set...

They probably won't happen...

Post breakfast, Anne was off to PickleBall for a 9am start...

What with post PB coffees with the ladies, she did not return till 12...

So, I recorded and uploaded the podcast...

...and failed to find an alternative way to display these - moving them all around and then putting them back where they started...

It remained the weekend...

Lunch with Anne and a "Patience" - very enjoyable, despite my remembering the French version of this very story - with slight changes...

Anne to her mum's - a piano recital today - Mary fell asleep...

Me listening to today's CD Box...

Mostly Brahms...

But I chose a multi award winning Pierre Boulez disc...

...bought in Potsdam on 9 August 2024 for one Euro (with another 9 items, also a Euro each)...

Wonderful, complex stuff...

Recommended for open-minded prog rock fans!

Then, with Anne returning and setting about creating a tasty casserole, which takes around 2.5 hours, I worked on a new collab with Matthew Nowik, formerly Blue Sun Chasing...

An unexpected success...

I sent him the files and he was most enthusiastic, indeed, sending me more stems to continue the project...

Right on cue, as I finished off three tracks and returned downstairs, Anne was "plating up", as they say...

Another "Patience" enjoyed, then a programme on Ludwig II of Bavaria, or "Barvaria", as the presenter kept saying...

It included insights into three castles/palaces we've visited on our trips to the South of Germany over the years...

Neuschwannstein...

Lindhof...

...and Herrenchiemsee...

Beautiful but utter madness - he was billions in debt, when finally removed from the throne...

Ended the day with a listen back to the new stuff and off to bed around 12:15...

Highlight of the Day: Collaborating...
