A day spent in our onesies...

Playlist

Started the year, as ever, with "Billion Dollar Babies" - before getting up...

By which time, it was...

Happy New Year!

A day spent in our onesies...

Once Anne was up, for 2.5 hours this morning, we were accompanied by the New Year's Day concert from Vienna...

...while, outside, a squirrel had a novel way of enjoying the feed station...

This year's conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin from Montreal, conducted the "Radetzky March"'s audience participation (clapping quietly and loudly) from out in the audience...

Novel...

...before returning to the stage to take the applause...

A goodly part of the day was spent compiling further playlists re my Best/Favourites of 2025...

My Top 20 (posted yesterday too)

Top 20 "Old Guard" (artists I've liked for a long, time)

Top 20 "New Guard" (Artists I've discovered over the last few years and by whom I already had recordings prior to 2025)

Top 20 "New to Me" (discovered in 2025)

A Further 20 Classical

A Further 20 Jazz

Also today, I rounded off my "LPs I'd Have Bought in 2025, Had I Had Unlimited Resources But Was Limited to Only Buying LPs Which Made The UK Album Charts" list...

Here are the 49...

I had the playlist on shuffle and quite a few Beatles tracks popped up...

On the basis of that, I'm not sure if I would have bought The Beatles anthology sets -  the sound of barrel scraping is even worse than surface noise on an LP...

After having enjoyed the leftovers from last night's takeaway at lunchtime, another curry this evening - Anne's Keralan Chicken, which was, as ever, Yumtastic...

An evening of TV, catching up on stuff recorded over the holiday period and, of course, a couple of "Bones"...

At bedtime, the daily laptop pic had changed to this...

A reasonable start to the year...

Highlight of the Day: Old and new curries, traditions and compiling...
