Slept till almost 8 - a rarity but welcome...
Still wrote up yesterday pre breakfast though...
Ah yes, it was Tuesday...

This morning, the day's CD box was this...
Mostly Bruckner but I chose one of the three Brouwer discs...
Superbly played by Frederic Zigante, recorded in Turin 2014...
Brouwer, from Cuba, is one of my fave writers for the guitar...
Love the art work too...
The scene from my listening post I...
The scene from my listening post II...
At 12:15 we drove into town, me giving Anne a lift for a lunch with Theresa and Debbie at the French Institute Bistro...
I then drove to Craigmillar for a look in the large branch for the BHF...
Bingo...
Someone had obviously just off-loaded a classical CD collection and they had them all out at 50p a pop or three for a pound...
I selected 60 CDs re this one off opportunity...
This may well be the most CDs I've ever bought in one transaction (as a punter as opposed to record shop owner, that is)...
Drove home and spent the rest of the afternoon ripping and listening...
All in all, today, I managed to listen to works from a quarter of them (no full discs as yet)...
That's 15 of 58 (not 60 as there were 2 doublers - although one of them has the full packaging which the one I already have of it, doesn't)...
Anyway...
Carnage...
This unprecedented single day intake, which only adds to the, for the Exec Producer anyway, myriad "piles of shite" in the back room, was unjustifiable, it seems...
As I commenced the ripping, Fang popped by for Dreamies...
"Dreamies please and I won't slash you"...
And off he went with his funny wee bandy back legs...
Back to the job in hand...

Anyway, here's the intake, in detail - in approximate order of release year...
So now I need to lay off the shiny things for a while methinks...
Anne had been picked up midway through the exercise and brought home, requiring zero tea - so some home made soup and a sandwich comprised the evening meal for your CD buying idiot correspondent...
A "Chicago PD" pre Inter v Arsenal, during the second half of which I finished off the adding of new things to the system and to the Samsung...
