A day of, mostly, filing, can be weirdly enjoyable...

Playlist

Saturday - I did not go out all day...

Scenes...

First thing, today's CD Box, another Bach only affair...

Chose the Julliard's string quartet arrangement of his "Die Kunst der Fuge"...

Superb...

Then, got caught up in a Stockhausen rabbit hole...

A BlueSky chum posted a pic of an LP he's picked up for less thatn a dollar - a comp from 1970 called "Festival of Hits"...

Hits?

Stockhausen?

I decided to recreate it - which involved downloading two of the long works, edits of which, along with another six, appeared on the LP...

Chat on matters with Sid Smoith - we both agreed someone at DG must've been having a good laugh but, on my further investigation of this series from Deutsche Grammophon, marketed in Canada, I discovered the others in the series featured the likes of  Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi and Liszt...

So, in 1970, Mr Stockhausen must've been held in very high regard in Deutschland indeed...

Anyway, done - an enjoyable project...

Post breakfast, to some more filing...

Adding comps to this display but, also, reintegrating all the reggae comps I separated out a few months (or years) go...

Done...

More filing...

Soundtracked by an Xmas present...

...and changed the room around yet again...

More filing now to the strains of Tippett's quartets...

Fang popped by...

...and I took a break for lunch and telly...

Then, back to it...

Now, integrating Rock & Pop Digipaks...

To this...

Done...

Tidy...

Meanwhile, in Dumfries, Queens came from a goal behind against bottom of the table Kelty Hearts, to win 3-1...

Filing over, some relaxing to this...

One of four, twenty tracks on each...

The compiler remains anonymous...

More TV...

Then, noting the close of day view...

...more listening to some of my 2016 faves thus far...

...and, bed...

Highlight of the Day: Filing...
