Half price Monday...

Up more towards the usual time today as week 14 of the year commenced...

March is gone...

Into the second quarter...

Breakfast at home...

With Anne out, I recorded and uploaded the podcast...

Then on her return, down the hill to do some monetary stuff but we had to make a n appointment to return at 3:30...

To the Corrie Inn for lunch but the chef was ill so the kitchen was closed...

So, after walk around...

...made our ay instead to the Torphin...

...where Monday special, half priced burgers were enjoyed...

Home for some work before heading back down the hill for the appointment...

Done...

In the post, the latest TQ magazine, a special on fanzines, with a free CD of Dutch Punk Rock...

Anne to pilates, follwoed by some TV watching wh9ch caused us to miss "University Challenge" - found it though on the iPlayer and managed around 90 points...

Some other good music sucked in late doors...

Not a bad Monday really...

Highlight of the Day : Tasty bargain burgers...

Destined to be bent out of shape...

Up super late - although an hour had been lost re the time change - but, still, almost 8am, old time...

To work on the recordings from last night...

By 11, the links were out to the band...

This afternoon, took Anne's mum out for Mothers' Day...

Coffee and cakes at Costa...

...as we watched the world go by...

Some chat re the lumps in my palm - which are the result of Dupuytren's Contracture, about which, the doc says, there is nothing to be done...

Eventually I won't be able to straighten my fingers...

Might interfere some what with my guitar playing!

Tasty Steak Pie based tea tonight...

...as the weekend came to a close...

Highlight of the Day : Coffee and cake...

A quartet treads the boards...

Gig day...

Treated sky...

Back room view...

Re-did my "Glam! Medleys" using the mastered WAV files rather than MP3s...

Post work on that, this diary and listening to stuff, out for breakfast with Annie...

Doiwn the hill to Cafe Vigo but no tables so, to the Toby Carvery - Anne's expectations were not high but she came away impressed...

No lunch required...

A visit to the Hospice shop before walking back up the hill, resulted in these...

A nice, mainly operatic, selection...

And this for a fiver - I was worried (well, not worried but, you know) that I might have it already...

Track list - 200 songs...

But, this is the one I already had...

Track list, 200 different songs...

An afternoon of prep then, around 3:45, loaded the car - a place for everything...

...and everything in its place...

The hall pre set up...

Johnny W arrived...

...followed closely by Johnny B...

...and Keith - and we were soon almost ready to soundcheck...

Lights on...

The bingo caller arrived...

Post sound check the stage was set...

...and people started to arrive...

Drinks are extremely cheap here, an attraction...

I sat next to a nice old lady who could not hear the numbers - and so I marked her card for her and, she ended up winning £47!

Result...

Time to get on stage, just after 8 for the first set...

A few unforced errors but no-one seemed to notice...

We'd moved all out "crowd pleasers" to the first set but it seems people were not yet drunk enough to take to the floor...

And so, three opportunities for the gathered crowd to participate in "The Slosh" were foregone...

The scene at the first break...

...and I managed to snap the dancers, including the Exec Producer, during the final set...

...which ended with an encore around 11:30...

Take down after another successful stint at the Dockers and home around 00:35, leaving this to be sorted tomorrow...

A top day...

Highlight of the Day : Performing...
