Cosmic Ground - melt
Up and doing the rounds to garner the new music, for it was, once again, Friday...
It would soundtrack two journeys...
Scenes...
Feeling still a little under the weather but struggling on...
New stuff integrating...
A quick visit from Fang...
Then, Anne out to Zumba and me, despite not being fully recovered, off to that Glasgow, for the retirement lunch of old chum Neil Galbraith...
A bus just before 10...
...and whisked off through...
...the beast was listening to new music...
...and realising he'd set out with the wrong glasses on..
Oh well...
Arrived just after 11...
I thought I saw Neil...
...making an early start....
To Missing...
One thing bought for a quid - Canadian, via the North West of England, apparently...
Pretty good find...
...as was this poster, I did not know there was a new LP...
The venue for teh celbratory meal was Sannio, where Anne and I dined once, although I cannot find exactly when...
Before that though, to The Griffin, opposite, for drinks...
...with Neil, pre the others arriving...
Janine...
Bernie, Wendy, Raymond...
Gary, Christine...
...and Yuill...
Start of a good day...
The Nine Musketeers!
Lovely food...
...drinks were flowing and top chat - so many stories...
Once people startyed arriving for the evening, we realised it was time to go...
To a nearby fave of Neil's, Chinaski's...
We managed to secure a table till 6...
...but then had to move outside re a booking...
Everyone was somewhat the worse for wear...
...other than your correspondent, who was trying his best not to be ill and conducting himself accordingly...
Eventually, we were refused service...
Next door to Chinaski's was a place Anne and I once enjoyed a Valentine's curry at, a very long time ago but, now, sadly, derelict...
A walk back along Sauchiehall Street...
The carousing continued for Neil, Bernie, Yuill and Wendy...
Janine and Christine were on the train to the West of Edinburgh, while Gary was on a bus to Kirkaldy...
...and Raymond and I were on one to Edinburgh...
I listened to music, Raymond learned Spanish...
...as I left Raymond, he faced almost another 2 hours of journey before reaching Rosewell...
Later on, everyone reported having arrived home safely...
Meanwhile Johnny Impossible sent a pic of his set up which we'll use for monitors on Sunday...
Some telly ("Beyond Paradise", "Monk"), before bed...
