Up late once again...
Quite possibly unacceptable...
Or was it, as I had nothing planned for the day...
First thing, worked on the Top 100 Chart and refined my process, which remains reasonably laborious but still enjoyable...
Here's this week's Top 50 (click to expand)- blue = new entries, green = moving up, red = moving down, black = non movers...
And here are my Top 30 LPs of the year so far, now we are a quarter of the way through - based on ave points i.e. total points divided by weeks on chart - hence the inclusion of this week's higher new entries...
Of course, this method of measuring the entirely subjective, means that just 1 week at No 1 and then a complete disappearance from the Top 100 gets you top slot for the year...
Hmmm....
Also some research and experimentation into how to equalise all the backing tracks for the two "GLAM!" collections...
At lunchtime, post Anne having been to have her lovely hair fashioned once more and a visit to her mum's re medication etc, a "Monk" entertained...
In the afternoon, choosing songs for this week's Out of the Bedroom....
Worked out chords for a couple of reasonably recent songs, "The Beginning of the End", from "Disquietsongs" (2020) and "All the Things I Did" from "Fallingsky" (2021)...
But, in the end, I settled on "Blend" from "Soundingfall" (2009), Down to the Beach" from Sombre Reptiles' "Heavenview" (1988) and "A Drop in the Ocean, also from the Sombre Reptiles canon, from "Liverysilver" (1991)...

13 minutes of fun, kind of...
This evening, tasty mince and potatoes from the EP...
...and a film about the Zambezi River - including its African Fish Eagles...
...who live and breed on "the largest man made lake on the planet", Lake Kariba...
Also today investigated new music from Hungarians, Jü, brought to my attention last night by Jorg Sonnenschein in that Deutschland...
...and took part in the football discussion as to when the group might move outside for the summer, adding the April sunset times from Edinburgh to the fray...
Meanwhile, in that Paris...
Steak Tartare for Jane...
...and complimentary champagne for the ladies, at the Moulin Rouge...
...including that of neighbouring Americans who did not wish to partake of alchohol...
Result!
Ended the day with two episodes of "Almost Paradise", finding out that the female lead is a kind of princess from Brunei...
So there you go...
