Up late...

April Fool's Day...

I did not do any fools but it's uncertain whether or not I behaved foolishly...

You are the judge...

So what did I do today?

First thing I did was to do a song sheet for Lou Reed's song "Ennui" from "Sally Can't Dance" - always a fave since first hearing it on the B side of the 7" edit of the title track back in late 1974...

So that was a good start...

Also this morning, while Anne was out shopping with and for her mum and also for us, I recorded the links for the podcast and put it all together and uploaded to Mixcloud...

So that was also good...

Let the massive listening spree commence...

...or not...

At lunchtime, couldn't get "Almost Paradise" to load up on Prime, so moved over to Netflix and found and started another new thing, well not exactly new - from 2002 to 2009 there was a show called "Monk" - 125 episodes over 8 seasons...

I can advise it's good...

So that too was good...

Popped into the attic to get another guitar stand down and took a look at the "work" now it's dry...

Still slightly underwhelming...

That was, perhaps, not so good...

In the afternoon, downloaded yet another shitload of backing tracks to add to the collection - I now have almost 3,000...

That was, perhaps, ill considered...

Also started compiling this week's Top 100 LPs...

I do enjoy doing that...

At close of play tonight, these were my Top 30...

Still to finalise the spreadsheet - one for tomorrow...

This evening, tasty baked potatoes with home made egg mayonnaise, the grand final of "Mastermind", won by a Scottish girl who, unlike most of the other contestants, had never been on a telly quiz show before...

Blanked out "Only Connect" with some music...

The 2nd Semi Final of "University Challenge" saw UCL put out the extremely annoying Manchester, thank heavens - we scored 80 - hard to get 10s when the contestants buzz in so early in these later stages of the series...

Prime was working again by now, so two more "Almost Paradise" entertained pre bed...

P.S. in that Paris, Kitty moved from snails to frogs' legs today...

Mon the frogs! (and, indeed, the snails!)...

Highlight of the Day : Ranking...
