Morning Monday morning…

Another week begins...

Hopefully it will be an enjoyable one…

Let’s go!

With yesterday's acquisitions now on the living room shelf, there was filing to be done...

There was also more new music to be brought into the collection...

Both of those tasks were undertaken and completed before we headed out towards 11am, arriving in South Queensferry...

Behind the fence, in the distance, is John and Ali from Impossible Songs' house...

As we walked past...

...John was in his garden tending to vehicles re the deeply minus temperatures we were experiencing...

We stopped to say hello and were invited in for coffee, a mince pie and good chat...

The view from the office this morning...

Ginger cat, Clint, was also in attendance (Missy was elsewhere)...

Both are getting on a bit - here is Clint the Gingery Kitten (along with Smudge the Kind of Black Kitten) back in 2007...

Having enjoyed the coffee (and the mince pie - of which I was not previously a fan), I snapped the coffee selection for posterity...

...and off we went down through the village...

...stopping in at various shops and enjoying the excellent views of the Firth of Forth and the bridges...

...all the way along to the harbour and back again in the freezing cold...

Although the town clock did not reflect the fact, it was lunchtime...

...and we stopped in at the Ravenous Beastie...

...enjoying the best lentil (and chorizo for me) soup and filled rolls in the world...

..before walking back to the car and driving home to the frozen garden...

...and to finish off ther first series of "Astrid" - nine episodes in around a week I think we watched...

Very good....

Access to two further series awaited...

In the evening, with Anne out at Pilates, I was once again on Baked Potato duties...

I did not do too well, with Anne's having to go back into the micro after complaints of "Hard bits"...

Only 110 scored on a particularly science-centric "University Challenge, followed by episode 2 of "Strike"...

The view from the office later this evening as music stuff was done...

...and the blog "on this day" was perused re various anniversaries, including the 9th of having purchased the machine that allows me to record my podcasts and Capital Models sessions and indeed much of my music...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : An impromptu visit to John and Ali...

It was indeed top notch to see you both (and Clint of course)…
