Another Saturday. Which is good. Cos, you know, it's another Saturday...
Up in the dark...
Lights on, work to be done...
Well, you know, not "work", per se but, work...
And it wasn't even 7am yet...
Which is good...
So, got this up to date and then got sucked into looking at various playlists on my iTunes that I decided might need updated, as you do...
Including LPs I've received as Xmas presents since 1973 and LPs I like that made the charts in 2022...
Outside looked good but, once again, was freezing...
Fang popped by...
And was soon on the bed...
Discussions took place with sister Sheila re the possible purchase for Xmas of a ramp type contraption for mum's front door |(removeable) to allow access in and out in her wheelchair - which would take worry off her plate re going out anywhere...
I needed dimensions - here's Sheila's expert drawing...
Meanwhile, Fang exited...
A Christmas special of "Shakespeare and Hathaway" was enjoyed over lunch...
I took Anne to Jane's for the big game at Tynecastle - Hearts beating Kilmarnock 3-1, while, in Dumfries, Queens were 1-0 up against Kelty Hearts with 10 minutes to go. They lost 2-1, the winner being a penalty a couple of minutes form time up...
Brutal...
On the upside, Fang returned...
It was getting dark...
...and Chrstmassy...
The mucking about with playlists continued...
A bit of a waste of a day but enjoyable nonetheless...
Back to Jane's to pick up Anne...
Indian ordered and wait for pick up time ensued - accompanied by some art reading from me and wine drinking from Anne...
On the t'internet, this morning's podcast was already in the classical charts apparently...
By the time I exited to collect the Indian and the long wait once there, as it missed the promised deadline, the final of "Strictly" was well underway before we started to enjoy the Rogan Joshes with Anne's home-cooked rice...
Yumtastic!
On "Strictly", Fleur was probably the best dancer, Molly was also very good, I was rooting for Helen, who appeared to have made the most progress over the piece but it was Hamza, who botched up his second dance and was lowest marked over the three dances by the judges, who was voted champ by the great British public...
I didn't mind - he seems a very nice man, a surprisingly good dancer and has wowed the judges over the course of the series - as had all the finalists, to be fair...
Like Queen of the South's loss, it's only a game...
The Hearts highlights were watched and then if I recall correctly, to bed...
No, wait, we enjoyed "Cliff Richard at the BBC"...
Then we were off to bed...
But wait, we'd forgotten about Fang. Even though he'd been in for a second visit of the day that had lasted over 9 hours (of sleeping on our bed), he was reluctant to leave and had to be chased out with a hoover tube thing...
Which we felt bad about but he had to go home...
Not much of a day really but glad to have been able to have it...
Highlight of the Day : The curry probably...
