Up and once again mucking about with playlists...

But...

...not..

...in the dark...

Downstairs views...

Xmas is coming...

What I have thus far for Anne was wrapped today - much still to get and time is running out...

Enjoyed my £1.50 a jar instant coffee...

...and, while Anne was out with her mum this morning, shopping and doctoring, I asked if she could get me some chick peas and cauliflower, with a view to trying to make these...

Ingredients were secured - now, we'll see at some point, possibly tomorrow...

My playlist mucking about was sorting through every year's playlist re the "Good LPs" - which, for every year (1959-2022), is an attempted 100 but for many years falls well short of this.  There was much mis-tagging to sort and moving about of records...

This is how I waste my time...

In the afternoon though, we enjoyed "Vienna Blood"...

I also spent some time today filling a four holes in my, now, 23 strong Mathilde Santing collection...

...and downloading 10 tasty items from Gramophone magazine's recordings of the year...

Mathilde's Xmas LP and Cello Concertos from Northern Germany soundtracked us lazing about in the late afternoon...

In the evening, with Anne at Pilates with Lynn, your correspondent was once again on Baked Potato duty and, despite not having turned the oven on at the wall, 20 minutes, including oven warm up time, post a 12 minute blast in the micro, still seemed to suffice - better than last week anyway...

Some very sad news discovered on the net - Rick Anderson of The Tubes passed away on Friday at the age of 75...

I feel like I've "known" him for almost 50 years...

That was a blow...

But, as with all "celebrity" deaths, we did not "know" the people who have died, we were not their family or their friend - and we still have their work available to us...

Their family and friends, though, no longer have the person they knew and loved...

That's how I get by...

Let's see how stoic I am when Alice Cooper goes...

On Anne's return and post tasty potato intake, an alumni Xmas "University Challenge" tonight saw us score a magnificent 170, answering 28 questions (starter & bonuses) correctly...

Then the final episode of "Strike" which has been very good indeed.  I have not read a single word of JK Rowling's "Harry Potter" books, nor see any of the films.  However, I imagine her under a pseudonym written "Strike" is far better...

Then, snoozing on the sofa with new cello concertos in my lugs...

To bed around 11...

Lights out...

...happened after we'd exited...

Technology eh?

Highlight of the Day : Being able to acquire almost any music I want at the veritable drop of a veritable hat...
