Awake...

...and to breakfast...

The cheese was a masterstroke re my scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast...

Out into the sun again...

Up...

...and down our street...

...and farewell Farnley Tower...

A four hour drive to Cambridge ensued, or rather the outskirts of Cambridge...

The soundtrack comprised one LP from each of 1962, 72, 82, 92 and 2002, 12 and 22 - do you see what I did there?

Also today, an idea for a new classical podcast was tried out, music-wise anyway, with a listen to a piano sonata, string quartet, cello concerto and symphony...

Reasonable...

Anyway...

We were staying at Madingly Hall, owned by the University and used for various residential and non-residential courses, as well as having rooms let out to the likes of us...

Absolutely beautiful surroundings...

We enjoyed coffee and sandwiches on the terrace...

...and a walk around the gardens...

...until, eventually, our room was ready...

Unpacked and back into the car for the short drive to Cambridge...

We parked by the river...

...and walked to the centre...

...for a first look around...

...and our tea at Nonna Mexico...

...with its impressive display of skulls...

Then, more wandering around and photographing of impressive old buildings ensued...

...before heading back along the river...

...to the car and the drive home...

Jupiter was out again...

Last drinks of the day were enjoyed in the bar...

...before "Bloodlands" was enjoyed back at the room pre sack hitting...

Highlight of the Day : Cambridge...
