Sunday morning and up and working on ideas for 2023...

...under reasonable skies...

Spent some time working on the 1989 synth recordings which were treated prior to what became the brand new work "387" in September...

Also, some treatment of field recordings made back in 2015 which are included in the download bundle for "Four Last Things"...

A couple of tracks were created...

Out for late breakfast to Stockbridge...

No seats at The Pantry - which we've only ever been to once - so, a walk down to the main drag and to Cowan & Sons...

Lovely coffee...

...and a splendid bacon roll for Anne while I opted for the, turned out to be absolutely delicious, Banana Bread Pot...

Home and more work on the 2023 project but I gave up half way through track 3 - just didn't seem to be working...

Will return at some point with fresh ears...

Then, listening to The Bad Plus' new LP in the best way possible...

Contentious I know but, for me, the best way to listen to music and to hear what the musicians and producers intended (other than attending a studio playback) is the CD, in a good CD player, directly to AKG 702 headphones…

It can be a wee bit loud sometimes...

I do like The Bad Plus...

Next up was Brian Eno...

Around 2, out to Straiton to do my mum's shopping, then, to hers...

She's doing ok, although, while we were away, she had a bit of an accident re her reclining chair, when she hit the wrong button and put it through the glass door behind her!

No injuries and, in fact, her hearing is so bad, she didn't even realise it had happened until she saw some glass on the floor later on...

It won't be repaired till January but, for now, all has been made safe...

To Ikea on the way home to pick up a frame for Anne's boat picture...

Anne had noted on her phone another bad day for Hearts - losing 2-0 at Aberdeen to fall to 7th in the table - but still only 3 points off 3rd...

Back home for some "Elementary"...

A tasty tea from Anne re Spaghetti Bolognese...

"Strictly" results...

On Googling Dave Arch, the musical director, thinking perhaps he'd once been in a band I might have heard of, I discovered he was keyboardist and musical director for Greg Lake on the tour we saw back in November 2005...

He even signed my programme...

At the time, I had no digital camera so pictures here were few and far between but here are all the autographs and the latest CDs the band, including Mr Lake, had bought at the time...

Post "Strictly", a "Star Trek: Discovery" - just not up to the standards - too many annoying characters and too cloying all told...

We will continue however...

"Professor T" was up to the usual standards (i.e. good)...

Ended the day with a couple more "Elementary"...

Turns out Season 7 was supposed to have been the end but Season 8 was agreed and finishes things off...

We only have around three or four episodes left...

It will leave a hole, just as "Chuck" and "Lucifer" did before it...

But we will find something else I'm sure...

Highlight of the day : Out for breakfast...
